gold and diamond earrings

A pair of 18-carat gold earrings with an old-cut round, and a pear-shaped diamonds (app. 5.4 carats in total) with gold tulip decorations. The watery diamonds used in Indonesian jewellery mostly came from Borneo and the stones were often cut in Bandjarmasin. The earrings were converted from a bracelet. Indonesia, 19th century.
