earrings with cupido

A pair of gold and silver earrings with oval onyx cameos of two cupids: one with a bow and arrow and the other catching a butterfly. Bordered with very fine rose-cut diamonds, the cameos taper to a point at the bottom. At the top they are suspended from a little bow, also set with tiny rose-cut diamonds. France, 19th century.
