gold and silver collier de chien with garnet and diamond

A collier de chien consisting of 12 large oval rose cut garnets set in gold alternated with floral silver elements in which are two old cut diamonds vertically set decorated with a tulip decoration also at the back, circa 1820, Dutch, to be worn with a velvet ribbon or with a later ailver and rose cut diamond lock, in its original shagreen case.
