mermaid stickpin
A magnificent carved agate mermaid mounted as a stickpin. Her hair, tail, and the edge of the basket are silver and are pavé set with rose-cut diamonds. Above her head she holds a basket containing different colored fine pearls, as found in the sea. In mint condition. France, circa 1870, master mark: Auguste Perrette, Dictionnaire des Poincons, on page 69, mark no. 521. repair to the belly.
