heart locket with enamel

A large heart-shaped pendant made of gilt metal and enamel, one side of the heart depicts Apollo with one of his lovers, and the reverse shows a basket filled with burning hearts, accompanied by a banner bearing the inscription “Was mir gefällt ist schön erwählt” (I have chosen what i like, or, one in a million). Germany, end 17th century or early 18th century.
