17th century pomander
A pomander made of high carat gold filigree, bearing the Amsterdam city mark and dated 1701. It hangs from a high carat gold chain also bearing the Amsterdam city mark and dated 1702.
A pomander is a perfume holder for a little ball of musk, amber or civet.
