A two color 18 carat gold pendant in the shape of a lyre set with little turquoises, symbolising ‘forget met not’, with two little compartments; one glass and one with the text gage d’accord parfait (perfect promise or agreement), France, early 19th century.

Orpheus charmed animals with his lyre and he and with him his lyre stand for unfailing devotion. The lyre and other musical instruments stand for the harmony of love.
