pendant with Terpsichore
An 18 carat gold octagonal pendant with diamonds and pearls. In the center is an oval white, pink and blue enamel trompe l’oeil cameo. This medallion features Terpsichore, muse of dance and poetry. It is bordered by a thin line of rose-cut diamonds and framed by an openwork décor with laurels.
The outer border of the pendant is enameled in pink and embellished with five diamonds and palms. Signed by the designer: L. Gautrait, with the master’s mark of Leon Gariod. France, circa 1905.
