filligree gold ruby and pearl earrings in Indian taste

A pair of 18 carat gold day and night earrings made of very delicate wirework. At the top is a flat round earring set with one little square ruby, surrounded by two rows of filigree – one with smaller and one with bigger granulations -, below which is a removable pendant with wirework, filigree and cannetille, the top of which is embellished with 5 little square rubies, 8 pampels each with two tiny pearls and a square ruby dangle around which is a small spiraled rod from which hangs a ball made of filigree with granulations, and again set with 6 small rubies. Everything moves and is in perfect condition, which is a miracle!

Vienna, Pioté & Köchert, in its original red leather case. This partnership existed until 1848, so these earrings were made between 1825-1848.
