gold love charm with diamond and ruby

An 18 carat yellow gold round love charm with a border of synthetic rubies and a plus sign in the middle with five 8-cut diamonds and the text “qu’hier, que demain”, signed: A.A. for A. Augis, France, circa 1970.

This charm is based on a poem by the French poet Rosemonde Gérard (1871-1953) wrote this poem for her husband, Edmond Rostand (1868–1918 and author of Cyrano de Bergerac): Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage, Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain, which translates as ‘For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow’.
