This rare piece reflects Bulgari’s legendary ‘Eclectic Creativity’ period, which emerged in the 1970s as a bold departure from traditional gemstone-heavy Parisian high jewellery. Under the dynamic leadership of Gianni, Paolo, and Nicola Bulgari, the Roman jewellery house shifted towards a modern, visual aesthetic defined by substantial yellow gold, daring geometric forms, and smoothly carved hardstones with bold colours such as nephrite jade, which was valued for its rich green hue and durability. Drawing creative inspiration from Pop Art, Far Eastern iconography, and geometric forms, these striking, highly wearable designs quickly captured the imagination of the international jet set across New York, Paris, and Monte Carlo. During the turn of the millennium, Bulgari reimagined this iconic, structural 1970s theme to create this magnificent Tematica masterwork.
