gold pendant with garnet and diamond

A 15 carat gold Victorian oval pendant set with a large deep red carbuncle garnet incrusted with a six pointed star at the centre set with a large cushion cut diamond surrounded by six rose cuts diamonds. The bail is also set with a matching garnet, cut to fit the pointed sides perfectly.

The reverse of the pendant has an oval locket with one compartment with silk lining, England, circa 1890.
