gold and silver cluster ring with diamonds

A gold cluster ring set with old cut diamonds (app. 1.10 ct total) set in silver in foiled closed back cut-down collet settings, the reverse beautifully rayed, and with ‘c’ curls connecting the ring to the shoulders, aswell as the shoulders to the shank, France, circa 1750-1780, marked with a modern French assay mark for 18k gold and older illegible marks.
